The Grant Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Reed City Coyotes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13 runs per game this season.

Grant blew Newaygo out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Newaygo got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 8-6. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Emma Thompson was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Gee, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Reed City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of Chippewa Hills.

Having lost for the first time this season, Grant fell to 8-1. As for Reed City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Grant couldn't quite get it done against Reed City in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
