Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sioux City North Stars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on September 9th.

Ana Watkins paced Lincoln's offense, picking up five kills. Watkins got some help from Emily Townsend and her 13 assists.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Sioux City North, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Le Mars on the 30th. As for Sioux City North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Jefferson on the 30th.
