Softball Recap: Del Oro Beats Casa Roble for Their Ninth Straight Victory

Del Oro put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Casa Roble Rams get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Golden Eagles have won four matches by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mikayla Finn looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caelyn Campos was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Chloe Champas was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Del Oro was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Casa Roble only posted a batting average of .136.

Del Oro's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Casa Roble, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Del Oro will square off against Whitney at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Whitney's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Del Oro's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Casa Roble, they will take on Destiny Christian Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
