Football Game Recap: Heartland Lutheran vs. Spalding Academy

After having lost a blowout to Harvard in their previous game, Spalding Academy was happy to find some success on Friday. Everything went Spalding Academy's way against Heartland Lutheran as they made off with a 60-34 win. That result is just more of the same for Spalding Academy, who also won the last time these teams played.

Spalding Academy's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 39 points in the first half. Heartland Lutheran came up with 21 to make it 39-21 heading into the break. The offense for Spalding Academy continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points to put the game away. The win got they back to even at 1-1. The loss started Heartland Lutheran out at 0-1 for the season.

Spalding Academy hope to keep the momentum going despite some extra time before their next contest against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller in two weeks. Heartland Lutheran are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller next week .
