Softball Recap: Skyview Picks Up 16th Straight Win on the Road

Skyview put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Evergreen Plainsmen get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Storm also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Reese Perdue was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Perdue was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Sadie Vigil was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Audrey Jackson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.

Skyview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Skyview pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Skyview will head out to square off against Kelso at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Skyview's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Evergreen, they will face off against Mark Morris at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Evergreen is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
