St. John Bosco won against JSerra Catholic last Friday with two runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Braves narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Torrance Tartars 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Braves sure are getting used to it with their 12th in a row.

Trevor Heishman looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on James Clark, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Micah Taguiam, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

St. John Bosco's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Torrance, they moved to 17-10 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

As of now, neither St. John Bosco nor the Tartars have any future games scheduled.
