Basketball Game Preview: Niskayuna Silver Warriors vs. Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks

Niskayuna hasn't had much luck against Saratoga Springs recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Niskayuna Silver Warriors will head out to challenge the Saratoga Springs Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, Niskayuna lost to Bethlehem Central on the road by a 61-45 margin. The Silver Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Natalie Birmingham, who posted 19 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Skye Linyear, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Saratoga Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Arlington B, falling 50-26.

Saratoga Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Niskayuna, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Niskayuna strolled past Saratoga Springs in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 48-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Niskayuna since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
