The Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers will head out to face off against the Lewisville Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Legion Collegiate Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Legion Collegiate Academy came up short against Hickory Ridge and fell 6-1. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amelia Mason spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, El Desermia was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Lewisville waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lewisville's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1.

Legion Collegiate Academy suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Lewisville when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
