             Coahulla Creek is 0-8 against North Murray since October of 2014 but things could change  on Friday. The Coahulla Creek Colts will square off against the North Murray Mountaineers at 7:30  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

 Meanwhile,  a  win for North Murray just wasn't in the cards  on Friday as the  squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They came up short against  North Cobb Christian, falling  34-13. The Mountaineers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  20-0.
  Layten Myers put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown. Those 97  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: North Murray was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 202  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 150  rushing yards in ten consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
 Even if they lost, North Murray's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks.  Aiden Ellis was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself. He is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made five or more in the last eight games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Coahulla Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for North Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
 Coahulla Creek might still be hurting after the  52-30 loss they got from North Murray  in their previous matchup  back in September of 2021. That  match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Coahulla Creek was down  31-10.
