Baseball Recap: Cyril Takes a Loss

Cyril lost against Fletcher back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates lost 15-5 to the Wildcats. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cyril's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Fletcher, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cyril will welcome Grandfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.63 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Fletcher, they will take on Lookeba-Sickles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.44 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
