Volleyball Game Preview: Strathmore Spartans vs. Corcoran Panthers + Official Tickets

After both having extra time off, the Strathmore Spartans and the Corcoran Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Strathmore sitting on nine straight victories and Corcoran on three.

On Wednesday, Strathmore beat Woodlake 3-1.

Strathmore walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Strathmore's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Lily Valdez, who had six digs and four assists, and Tylie Dement, who had seven digs. Those four assists gave Valdez a new career-high.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Corcoran challenged Lindsay on Wednesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 3-1.

Corcoran had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-20, 26-25, 25-19.

Strathmore's record is now 21-7. As for Corcoran, their record now sits at 12-17-3.

Strathmore beat Corcoran 3-1 in their previous meeting on October 1st. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
