Balko/Forgan had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They managed a 32-28 victory over the Hooker Bulldogs. The win was all the more spectacular given Balko/Forgan's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Hooker is ranked 30th).

Balko/Forgan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brya Appelhans, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Halle Littau, who posted eight points and six boards.

Balko/Forgan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Hooker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.
