Basketball Recap: Denver City Takes a Loss

After flying high against Stanton last Thursday, Denver City came back down to earth. The Mustangs were outmatched by the Brownfield Cubs and fell 70-39. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Cubs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Denver City's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Brownfield, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-6.

Coincidentally, Denver City and Brownfield will both be playing Compass Academy the next time they take the court. The Cubs will head out to face the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
