The Milan Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Madison Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Milan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 30 points per game this season.
Milan took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat South Decatur 48-0. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won nine in a row.
Milan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beckett Langferman, who rushed for 136 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Another player making a difference was Grant Langferman, who rushed for 86 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Milan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 381 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Milan's record is now 3-4. As for Madison, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Things could have been worse for Milan, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 41-27 loss to Madison when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
