Lubbock Christian had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Lamesa Tornadoes with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on nine straight dating back to last season.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lubbock Christian took every set by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-8, 25-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lubbock Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hereford at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for Lamesa, they will face off against Sweetwater at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
