Baseball Recap: Houghton Lake Comes Up Short

Houghton Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 23-13 to the Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts. Even if the Bobcats couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Houghton Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Mio-Au Sable, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Houghton Lake will square off against Evart at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mio-Au Sable, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whittemore-Prescott at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
