Basketball Game Preview: Dundalk Owls vs. Parkville Knights

The Dundalk Owls are taking a road trip to take on the Parkville Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dundalk has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three matches.

Last Wednesday, Dundalk ended up a good deal behind Catonsville and lost 75-58.

Meanwhile, Parkville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-45 heartbreaker at the hands of Dulaney. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Lions are ranked 72nd).

Dundalk will need to focus on slowing down Aion Lane, one of several Parkville players who made an impact when they last played. He to rack up 15 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Lane a new career-high in points. Derion Thomas was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Parkville's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Dundalk, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Dundalk couldn't quite finish off Parkville in their previous meeting on February 5th and fell 51-48. Can Dundalk avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
