Baseball Game Preview: East Catholic Eagles vs. Bristol Eastern Lancers

The East Catholic Eagles will take on the Bristol Eastern Lancers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. East Catholic will be strutting in after a win while Bristol Eastern will be coming in after a loss.

While East Catholic didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past New Britain 14-2 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Bristol Eastern unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 8-5 to Wethersfield.

East Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Bristol Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

East Catholic took their win against Bristol Eastern in their previous matchup back in May of 2021 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
