Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial lost against Canby back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Centennial Eagles lost 64-41 to the Canby Cougars.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Canby to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Nelson, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dane Edwards, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Centennial now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Canby, they moved to 6-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-31 defeat against Wilsonville on the 8th. As for Canby, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-49 loss against La Salle on the 8th.
