Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kyla Carter and Tori Ruffin Lead Medina Valley to Victory

There's no place like home for Medina Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 44-32 victory over the Del Rio Rams on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-31 back in January.

Leading Medina Valley to victory were Tori Ruffin and Kyla Carter. Ruffin almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds, while Carter went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points and four steals. Carter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Janasia Lee, who posted five points.

Medina Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.
