Basketball Recap: Pioneer Comes Up Short

Pioneer lost against Saline back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pioneer Pioneers fell 52-41 to the Saline Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Hornets are ranked 77th).

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Saline, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 15-4 record this season.

Pioneer is taking a road trip to challenge Adrian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adrian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pioneer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saline, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-25 win against Skyline on the 25th.
