Tumwater entered their tilt with Ridgefield on Saturday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Spudders. For the Thunderbirds, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Spudders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Tumwater was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 20-25, 25-15, 25-14.

Tumwater's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lalie Betschart led the charge by getting 22 digs and two aces. Betschart has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last three times she's played. Milani Palizzi was another key player, getting nine digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Tumwater was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 12 consecutive contests.

Tumwater's record is now 17-2-2. As for Ridgefield, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7-1.

Tumwater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Columbia River on the 8th. Ridgefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
