Baseball Game Preview: Brennan Bears vs. Taft Raiders

For the second straight game, Brennan will face off against Taft. The Bears will face off against the Raiders at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Brennan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Taft's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Brennan fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Taft on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-3. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by exactly two runs.

For Taft's part, JUSTIN PARKS was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. PARKS has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, EDUARDO TORAL was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Taft's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14. As for Brennan, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
