Softball Recap: Covenant Christian Comes Up Short

Covenant Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Cherokee Indians, falling 10-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-5 loss back in February.

Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Cherokee, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11.

Covenant Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Phil Campbell at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st. Cherokee will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Shoals Christian at 4:30 p.m. on April 1st.
