Football Game Preview: Erie Tigers vs. Regis Jesuit Raiders + Official Tickets

The Erie Tigers will square off against the Regis Jesuit Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Erie will be strutting in after a win while Regis Jesuit will be coming in after a loss.

Erie is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Horizon: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Tigers blew the Hawks out of the water with a 42-6 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tigers had established a 29-point advantage.

The critical scores for Erie came from Jack Arnold, Owen Collard, Tommy Thiesen, and Lincoln Hageman.

Meanwhile, Regis Jesuit faced Legend in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Raiders lost to the Titans on the road by a 42-28 margin. The Raiders gained 77 more yards on the day, but it was the Titans that made the best use of them.

Erie will have to contain Luke Rubley as he made an impact in Regis Jesuit's last game. He threw for 284 yards and four TDs. Rubley has become a key player for Regis Jesuit: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise. Colt Jones was Rubley's top target, picking up 66 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Erie's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Regis Jesuit, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
