Softball Recap: Ross Little Giants vs. Clay Eagles
After flying high against Fostoria last Thursday, Ross came back down to earth. The Ross Little Giants lost 18-5 to the Clay Eagles on Friday. Ross has not had much luck with Clay recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Rubi Almaguer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Ross' defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Clay, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ross will stay at home for another game and welcome Southview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Ross is facing Southview at the right time seeing as Southview is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Clay, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Perrysburg at 5:00 p.m.
