The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Vincent de Paul, who took down 721st ranked St. Vincent de Paul, 44-17.
Upper Lake was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in North Central II/Bay Football. The Cougars beat Stellar Prep 72-24 earlier in the week.
The Mustangs' dynamic duo of Mitch Sheppard and Zach Smith proved tough for California School for the Deaf to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Sheppard threw for 215 yards and two touchdowns and Smith had 60 yards receiving. Michael Carroll helped St. Vincent de Paul's passing attack out by catching five balls for 51 yards.
Anthony Feliciano was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 189 yards on 28 carries as Tomales fell to the Eagles. Teammate Jonathan Cortes added to the ground attack by rushing for 70 yards.
Gary Galloway's team's Sheppard and Arman Yektaparast have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Sheppard has thrown for 948 yards this season, while Yektaparast, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 19 catches for 379 yards. Feliciano from the Braves leads the league in rushing with 755 yards.
The top two teams in North Central II/Bay Football will face off this week when first place Tomales takes on second place California School for the Deaf. Last week, Tomales defeated Emery, while California School for the Deaf topped the Mustangs.
Warren Keller's team moved up to 687 from 780 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of a 44-17 win over St. Vincent de Paul.
