Basketball Recap: Jacob Hunter Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Liberty had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Hamilton Huskies by a score of 65-53. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won three in a row.

Liberty's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Hunter, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points and seven rebounds. Hunter continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was TJ Harris, who posted 12 points.

Liberty was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 17-6 when they've passed the ball that well.

Liberty's record now sits at 18-10. As for Hamilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.

Looking ahead, Liberty will be playing in front of their home fans against Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69 points per game this season. Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
