Baseball Recap: Buena Vista Comes Up Short

Buena Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Bellevue East Chieftains. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bison of the 17-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Buena Vista saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anderson Craig, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Craig also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Buena Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bellevue East, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Buena Vista will face off against rival Gross Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bellevue East is set to take on their familiar foe Lincoln Northeast at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
