Volleyball Recap: Cowan Takes a Loss

Cowan was the 3-1 winner over Alexandria-Monroe when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blackhawks came up short against the Tigers on Monday, falling 3-0. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Cowan ultimately came up short, they really made Alexandria-Monroe work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 27-25.

Savannah Hall paced Cowan's offense, picking up six kills. Hall got some help from Demi Abbott and her ten assists. Finally, Hall was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Cowan's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Alexandria-Monroe, with the win, they broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 11-13.

Cowan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Wapahani on the 8th. As for Alexandria-Monroe, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Daleville on the 8th.
