Baseball Recap: De Leon Find Success

While De Leon's win against San Saba wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The De Leon Bearcats had just enough and edged out the San Saba Armadillos 6-5 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Armadillos: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Max Jones, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Trenton Zmeskal was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

De Leon now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for San Saba, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

De Leon has already played their next match (against Hamilton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. San Saba will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Harper at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th.
