Basketball Recap: Waubay/Summit's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waubay/Summit). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Leola/Frederick Titans on Saturday, sneaking past 54-51. The win was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Waubay/Summit's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Leola/Frederick, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waubay/Summit will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] at 3:45 p.m. on December 30th. As for Leola/Frederick, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] at 3:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
