Basketball Recap: Manzanola Takes a Loss

Manzanola played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the De Beque Dragons, falling 65-18. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-10.

Manzanola lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Wesley Garcia, who posted six points and five boards. Ethan Rocha was another key player, putting up two points and seven steals.

Manzanola is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for De Beque, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Coming up, Manzanola won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Creede at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for De Beque, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Mesa Vista at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
