King never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past the Dekaney Wildcats 42-0 on the road. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Wildcats are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

After each having a week off, King and Atascocita will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on September 26th.
