Manteno has gone 8-2 against Reed-Custer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Comets at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Manteno has 13 straight wins, Reed-Custer has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

It was a proper cat-fight when Manteno faced off against Herscher on Tuesday. The Panthers came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0.

Manteno easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Reed-Custer came up short against Streator on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13.

Manteno's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Reed-Custer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.

Manteno was able to grind out a solid win over Reed-Custer in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-0. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
