Baseball Recap: Webber Takes a Loss

Webber had lost five straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 3-8 to make it six. They lost 8-1 to the Red Hill Salukis. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 13-1 to the Salukis when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Webber saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zhayne Belmont, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Belmont is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

As for Red Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

On Red Hill's side, the team relied heavily on Marcus Davis, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Davis has posted since back in March.

Coming up, Webber will challenge Cisne at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Hill, they will square off against Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
