Baseball Game Preview: Woodrow Wilson Bruins vs. Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles

The Woodrow Wilson Bruins will be taking part in a tournament against the Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither Woodrow Wilson nor Capistrano Valley Christian posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Woodrow Wilson picked up another tournament win on Friday. They had just enough and edged out El Modena 2-1.

Diego Valdez was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Jax Core was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

Meanwhile, Capistrano Valley Christian fell victim to La Habra and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Highlanders, falling 10-0.

Capistrano Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Woodrow Wilson, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
