Divine Child is a perfect 10-0 against Lutheran North since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Falcons will welcome the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Divine Child is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Divine Child got the win against Dearborn by a conclusive 12-2. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lutheran North faced Mercy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mustangs lost 10-0 to the Marlins. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Mustangs, who until this contest were averaging 3.43 runs allowed.

Divine Child's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lutheran North, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.

Divine Child skirted past Lutheran North 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
