Basketball Game Preview: Ottawa Hills Green Bears vs. Gibsonburg Golden Bears

The Ottawa Hills Green Bears will face off against the Gibsonburg Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Ottawa Hills is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Northwood: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Ottawa Hills blew Northwood out of the water with a 52-20 final score. The Green Bears pushed the score to 38-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rangers had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ottawa Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kendell Skiver, who posted 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Lily Berenzweig was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to 11 boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Gibsonburg came tearing into Monday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Crimson Streaks 68-38. The Golden Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 30 points or more this season.

Gibsonburg pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Ottawa Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
