Volleyball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest lost against McKinley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Indians lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Northwest ultimately came up short, they really made McKinley work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 25-20.

Ashlyn Lazarus paced Northwest's offense, picking up 15 kills. Lazarus got some help from Elizabeth Kulick and her 20 assists. Finally, Lazarus was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for McKinley, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4.

Coming up, Northwest will face off against Fairless at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McKinley, they will square off against Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
