Soccer Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Westview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bellevue East Chieftains. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Westview of the 9-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Their goal came courtesy of Ryan Sturgeon, which was the first he's scored this season.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bellevue East, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Westview has already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Burke on the 3rd. As for Bellevue East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against Benson on the 4th.
