Volleyball Recap: Oran Takes a Loss

Oran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Meadow Heights Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Oran was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22, 25-13.

Mandie Kent was the offensive standout of the match as she had ten digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Oran's record now sits at 4-13. As for Meadow Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Oran will venture away from home to square off against Charleston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meadow Heights, they will face off against Perryville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
