Basketball Recap: Baker County Starts Season with Loss at Home

Baker County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt an 83-6 loss at the hands of the Stewart County Royal Knights on Friday. The Bears lost against the Royal Knights in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 68-48 score last time.

Equavion Arrington was a one-man wrecking crew For Stewart County. as he posted 21 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Kitchens, who put up ten points and eight rebounds.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baker County will welcome Pataula Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stewart County, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Jordan at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
