Baseball Recap: Weyauwega-Fremont Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Weyauwega-Fremont's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers on Monday. The Warhawks haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Weyauwega-Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weyauwega-Fremont will welcome Menominee Indian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.17 runs per game on average), something the Warhawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, they will host Amherst at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
