Baseball Recap: Warwick Victorious

Warwick won the last time they faced Goshen Central and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Gladiators 4-3.

Warwick got a great performance from Thomas Ranaudo as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Ranaudo has posted since back in April.

At the plate, Warwick's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dallas Kaminsky, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double. Those three hits gave Kaminsky a new career-high. Tristan Sasse also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Warwick's record now sits at 6-9. As for Goshen Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1.

Coming up, Warwick will take on Monticello at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Goshen Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Minisink Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Gladiators surely won't give up without a fight.
