Volleyball Game Preview: Plainfield East Bengals vs. Yorkville Foxes

The Plainfield East Bengals will face off against the Yorkville Foxes at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Plainfield East came up short against Oswego East and fell 2-0.

Plainfield East was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Yorkville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Minooka on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20.

Plainfield East has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season. As for Yorkville, their victory bumped their record up to 9-21.

Plainfield East beat Yorkville 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Bengals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Foxes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
