Soccer Game Preview: Countryside vs. Osceola

The Countryside Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Osceola Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Countryside has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Osceola will come in with four straight wins.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Countryside's offense. They came up short against St. Petersburg on Wednesday, falling 8-0. That's two games in a row now that the Cougars have lost by exactly eight goals.

Meanwhile, Osceola's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Their defense stepped up to hand Dunedin a 1-0 shutout. The Warriors wouldn't have won without Ally Farrell, who scored the game-winner.

Countryside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Osceola, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
