Basketball Game Preview: Douglas Tigers vs. Blackstone-Millville Chargers

The Douglas Tigers will take on the Blackstone-Millville Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Douglas' defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Blackstone-Millville's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Wednesday, Douglas beat Oxford 44-34. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Pirates are ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Blackstone-Millville waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Warriors 48-21.

Blackstone-Millville has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Douglas, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Douglas was able to grind out a solid victory over Blackstone-Millville when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 44-34. Does Douglas have another victory up their sleeve, or will Blackstone-Millville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
