Volleyball Recap: Hapeville Charter Comes Up Short on the Road Against Creekside

Hapeville Charter had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Creekside Seminoles. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Seminoles: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-5.

Quran Rogers paced Hapeville Charter's offense, picking up four kills. Rogers got some help from Maaliyah Dorcoo and her five assists. Janyiah Stanley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Creekside's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Hapeville Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Holy Innocents Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on September 9. The matchup will give the Hornets their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Creekside, they will face off against Buford at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
