After a string of eight wins, Hackberry's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sacred Heart Trojans by a score of 51-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mustangs have suffered since December 19, 2023.

Hackberry's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-13. As for Sacred Heart, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Hackberry will be playing in front of their home fans against Starks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Starks knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Hackberry likes a good challenge. As for Sacred Heart, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Joseph's - Plaucheville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
